This is a great album. I like every song on it. The balance between the poetic softer side and the rockers is perfect here.

The follow up to Exile On Main St. Amazingly this sounds more focused yet more drugged out and tired than it's preprocessor.

Roy Wood - Boulders

One guys grand vision for a pop record. Reminds me of Brian Wilson/Smile type of epic undertaking. All types of styles of music to make up a relatively cohesive album. Reminds me of Gene Clarks' No Other album. Just in the way these guys had some broad visions in the post psychedelic pop era.

Roy Wood plays all the instruments here. All the vocals, and the cover artwork.

Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies

The last really good Alice Cooper record (The great ones were a couple back from this). All the experimental/psychedelicness is gone, but these are solid 70's rock songs. Solid album. Flows really well. Starts getting weak towards the end.

Neil Young - Time Fades Away

Recorded at shows live in 1973 when Young was on tour promoting Harvest. There was an accoustic set then an electric set of new songs that ended up on this album. Mostly bummer mellow songs. Pretty good if you ask me. If you ask Young he'll tell you this is his least favorite album.

Incredible Hog - Vol. III

Good hard rock. Similar to Budgie.

Bachman Turner Overdrive - II

If you asked me out of the blue, who sings Takin' Care Of Business? I'd say the Doobie Brothers. Well, BTO sings that song. They also sing Let It Ride which is on this album also and both songs have been getting played on FM radio my intire life. BTO rocks a little bit harder than the Doobies. More like Foghat.

- I suppose it's just 70's rock, but these guys are somewhere between The Doobie Brothers and Lynyrd Skynrd.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Pronounced 'leh-'nerd 'skin-nerd

Southern rock! Their first album and a virtual greatest hits collection. Guitars rule. Melodies and all the playing and singing are great. It comes across as emotional and honest. File this under awesomely great...oh, and Freebird.

Paul McCartney And Wings - Red Rose Speedway

Man, I've had this record for more than 30 years. Just listened to it, and the gate fold sleeve and booklet with odd collage artwork is still the best thing about it.

-I just read this album was engineered by Alan Parsons and reached #1 on the US charts. Probably on the strength of of the My Love single released before the album. Live And Let Die was also recorded during these sessions but not released on this album. There's nothing that up tempo on here. The back cover of the album contains a Braille message of "We love ya baby" for Stevie Wonder. The cover is also in a matte finish. The packaging is the best part of this here record.

Granicus - Granicus

They've got the Led Zeppelin thing going on. Singer reminds me of the guy from Budgie, who reminds me of Robert Plant.

Montrose - Rock The Nation

Good time party rock! The only thing that compares to this is the first Van Halen album. This record predates that by about five years. Maybe Ted Nugent was doing this kind of thing...yeah this sounds like Nugent too. This is an awesome must have for fans of the Rock!

Buffalo - Volcanic Rock

Good Blue Cheer meets Grand Funk Railroad. Better than where Sabbath was at in '73. Plus the guy wails like Chris Cornell when he was at the top of his game. Complete album of solid rockin'. A classic must have.
