If Judas Priest went a more progressive direction and Greg Ginn played guitar for them. Awesome record. Equal parts Punk and Metal. Hanging on the Discharge/Venom/Motorhead side of the tree. Deranged vocals.

Trouble - Psalm 9

Keeping the Doom flag burning even when it wasn't cool. Should have been Metal enough to keep the kids happy, back in the day anyway. Tinny production, I have an old cassette so that may be the problem. The tunes rock plenty good. Metallic Doom 80's style. Is thata Cream cover at the end? I think it is.

Dokken - Tooth And Nail

L.A. Metal six years after the first Van Halen album. Produced by Tom Werman. This is the last time Dokken would have any grit to them. They still have the the power ballads, but they still almost seem like legit metal here. They just go on to get more and more polished and watered down after this.

I love this record. You have to be careful though because this record is one that I grew up with. There's a golden rule somewhere that says, "Just because you liked it in high school doesn't mean it's good". For a while there I wondered if this fell into that category. So it fell into guilty pleasure area land. This is one of those soundtracks of your live records for me. I banged my head to this record. I lived this record. I believed in this record. I remember thinking it reminded me of AC/DC but I don't really hear that anymore. It's more metal. Closer to Judas Priests' Point of Entry or so (Krokus). The follow up to this "Metal Heart" is a turd and was a huge disappointment.
