I probably couldn't really tell the last 3 or so High On Fire albums apart from each other, but I get the general feeling that this is better than the last one.
Godsleep - Thousand Sons Of Sleep

Stoner rock reminiscent of Kyuss with throatier vocals. These guys plod along more often.
Coliseum - Anxiety's Kiss

Crisp and sharp production Post Hardcore. I'm really getting an 80's vibe from these songs, in a "post" kind of way. Slick.

Avant Garde Metal. Theatrical symphonic soundtrack craziness. Metal! plus. Apparently Sigh has roots in Black Metal but there hardly a trace on the surface.
Black Sheep Wall - I'm Going To Kill Myself

Sludge heaviness with super sharp production and Screamo vocals. The album pretty much kills it. Good song. Heavy beat down with the occasional sharp object.

Sleater Kinney - No Cities To Love

This a good record. That's what I usually think when I put it on, but I almost never want to put it on. Really clear production. Really good band. Singer has a big booming voice.
Brian Wilson - No Pier Pressure

Brian Wilson collaborating with a bunch of different people. There's some cool sound here and there but overall this is a bunch of dreck, but kind of appealing sometimes. It's got too much of a generic pop radio thing going on.

Retro early 80's NWOBHM/Speed Metal drawing from Metal that happen just before Thrash, you might recognize some of these sounds that showed up on Kill 'Em All.
Crobot - Something Supernatural

Good old fashion retro rockin' out. Like Wolfmother, Soundgarden...or a much heavier Black Crowes. There's a funky soul underlying all the hard rock. These guys are really good, ready for the masses. Maybe a little to polished for my taste.Cherubs - 2 Ynfynyty
