Orchid - Sign of the Witch

2015
This is bullshit. Bring something new to the table guys.

Van Halen - II

1979
I always felt that this was literally Van Halen II. Leftovers from the first album. That may be true, but it for sure seems like the missing link to Women and Children First. I've always loved this record since it came out.

Demon Eye - Tempora Infernalia

Demon Eye don't come right out and beat you over the head. Stoner/Occult 70's retro rock. Good songs. They lean more towards the Thin Lizzy/Pentagram area.

Kozmotron - Taking Out The Intakes

I like these guys. Laid back 60's psychedelia jam out garage style. I don't remember any vocals. but I do remember space ship sounds.

Rosetta - Quintessential Ephemera

2015
Post Rock. Super long songs atmospheric parts. Builds and builds to super big releases. Pretty angry at that point. Other parts have the post hardcore Def Tones type vocals. Post Rock.

Susanne Sundfor - Ten Loves Songs

2015

Super slick production. Pop/dance songs, but there's a dreamy element. Vocals are sad in a haunting  Lana Del Rey sort of way. For sure there's an 80's Euro electro pop sounds creeping in. Big orchestral parts like a the Princess singing in a Disney movie. Like being lost in amazement in the forest while faries flutter about. Right along side moody pounding dance songs. ABBA.

Goatsnake - Black Age Blues

At first I was disappointing in this album. After a bunch of listening I like this quite a lot.

Brontosaurus - Our Animal Ways

2015
Light indie progressive rock. Like Steely Dan but less pop. This is really produced. It dosen't sound like a band to me but backing tracks of keyboards and acoustic guitars and other sounds created by a producer for someone to sing over. I don't know if that's the case here, but as far as I can tell this is a duo and pretty whimpy at that, but it doesn't totally suck, just not my cup of tea. Harmonies.

Arrowhead - Desert Cult Ritual

Kyuss/Fu Manchu/Nebula Stoner Rock. These guys are pretty good at this style.

Thee Oh Sees - Mutilator Defeated at Last

2015
Psychedelic garage rock that sounds modern and has good production. And a huge tuba horn guitar distortion. I always thought Ty Segall was in this band, but I guess he isn't

Bittered - Hubris Aggression

2015
Eyehatedgod type sludge. Not overdoing it on the production, I think that helps.

Embodied Torment - Liturgy Of Ritual Execution

2015
2015
Brutal Death Metal and Technical too. With growls.

Lightning Bolt - Fantasy Empire

2015
If you like your rocking with craziness and noisey this is for you. Fans of GodHeadSilo and Melt Banana should like this.

High On Fire - Luminiferous

2015
I probably couldn't really tell the last 3 or so High On Fire albums apart from each other, but I get the general feeling that this is better than the last one.

Godsleep - Thousand Sons Of Sleep

2015

Stoner rock reminiscent of Kyuss with throatier vocals. These guys plod along more often.

Coliseum - Anxiety's Kiss

2015
Crisp and sharp production Post Hardcore. I'm really getting an 80's vibe from these songs, in a "post" kind of way. Slick.

Local H - Hey, Killer

2015
Grunge 90's power pop.

Sigh - Graveward

2015
Avant Garde Metal. Theatrical symphonic soundtrack craziness. Metal! plus. Apparently Sigh has roots in Black Metal but there hardly a trace on the surface.

Black Sheep Wall - I'm Going To Kill Myself

2015
Sludge heaviness with super sharp production and Screamo vocals. The album pretty much kills it. Good song. Heavy beat down with the occasional sharp object.

Pharaoh Overlord - Circle

2015

Gary Newmanesq synth songs. Instrumentals.

My Sleeping Karma - Moksha

2015
Middle of the road instrumental psychedelic rock. Not very adventurous considering this is Space Rock.  Not very exciting, more of a background thing for me. These guys get quite a bit of praise so don't take my word for it.

Desolate Shrine - The Heart of the Netherworld

2015
Thick wall of crushing heavy Death Metal. Similar to bands like Incantation.

Whitesnake - The Purple Album

2015
This album does not need to exist. Amped up 80's hair meataled dual guitar covers of Deep Purple songs from when Coverdale was in Deep Purple.

Faith No More - Sol Invictus

2015
This sounds interesting, and I bet if I spent more time listening to it I might enjoy it more. I just really can't bring myself to listen to it very often. What can you do?

Sleater Kinney - No Cities To Love

2015
This a good record. That's what I usually think when I put it on, but I almost never want to put it on. Really clear production. Really good band. Singer has a big booming voice.
